Really enjoyable walk this evening, the weather was perfect, the company was lovely and the route was a repeat of our very first walk in January 2024.

This evening’s walk was our last Greenway walk of 2026 as the nights are now getting dark before we finish, so will be back under the street lights from next week. But this week we enjoyed the Common and the Greenway in a figure of 8 route.
We welcomed new walkers which was lovely too.

Really enjoyed this evening’s walk, through our beautiful countryside as the sun was setting.
Tonight’s walk was in support of the https://saveourfields.org.uk campaign to protect the green belt land south of Kenilworth from further development for housing. We saw first hand what beautiful fields would be lost if the development were to go ahead. If you want to support the campaign use the link above to find out more.
It was also great to support a different local pub, as our walk started and ended at the The Gauntlet Pub on Caesar Road. We were made very welcome by Tacc and a large number of us enjoyed a refreshing cold drink after our lovely walk.

This evening we enjoyed a much more manageable temperature and a refreshing breeze as we walked a little further than usual, to make the most of the fading light. Underfoot the ground was parched and hard but we still enjoyed the stunning views of the castle as we walked around the surrounding fields.

It was a much cooler evening after the recent hot walks, as we made our way past the castle and across the fields. The landscape is parched and the ground is hard, dry and brown, but it was a joyful sight to see a field of glorious sunflowers to brighten our day as we walked. It was lovely to hear the happy buzz of conversations and to have some new walkers with us. See you all next week.
Another lovely walk this evening, through the cooler cover of Crackley woods, then along the shady Greenway and back along Finham Brook. As the sun went down and the temperature dropped, walking conditions were idillic.
And it was lovely to welcome lots of new members again this week. All new members are always welcome to join, just come along and join the group, as and when suits you.
What a fabulous evening for our Kenilworth Walking Women walk! 
It was wonderful to welcome so many new members tonight, I hope you all enjoyed your first walk with us.
Our route took us over to the beautiful Stoneleigh Abbey, where we wandered down its stunning ancient tree-lined driveway. Although the skies looked rather dramatic and threatened us with rain, we managed to stay dry throughout! And then nature rewarded us with one of the most spectacular rainbows we’ve ever seen, a truly magical end to the walk. 
As always, the evening was rounded off perfectly with a well-earned drink and plenty of chat at the pub.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. We can’t wait to do it all again next week!
Another lovely evening with Kenilworth Walking Women! 
Tonight we enjoyed a beautiful walk along Chase Lane, across the recently harvested fields, with the stunning Kenilworth Castle as our backdrop. And it was wonderful to welcome so many new members, thank you for joining us!
To finish the evening, many of us enjoyed a refreshing drink at the pub and a good catch-up. Great company, beautiful scenery, and a perfect summer evening. 
A big thank you to everyone who joined me on Sunday afternoon for a fabulous walk around Wroxhall Abbey and enjoyed tea and cake afterwards at Wren Hall. It really was a very enjoyable walk.
Another great evening on the Greenway!
Despite the warm and humid weather, we had a brilliant turnout with over 60 walkers joining us this evening. It’s fantastic to see so many women getting out, enjoying each other’s company and enjoying a walk together.
With a group our size, the Greenway can feel a little cosy at times, so a big thank you to everyone for helping us share the path safely. Our trusty whistle and shout-out system worked a treat, giving plenty of warning to our walkers of approaching cyclists and runners. It’s always lovely to see everyone looking out for one another and helping make the walk enjoyable for all.
A very warm welcome to everyone who joined us for the first time tonight. We hope you had a wonderful evening and that this is the first of many walks with us. New faces are always welcome!
We’re looking forward to doing it all again on Sunday at 2.00pm for our Family Walk, starting from Wren Hall. Bring the family, invite a friend, and come along for a relaxed afternoon in good company, followed by tea and cake!
