Our walks – The Kenilworth Walking Women

Walk 131 – 4th August 2026

What a fabulous evening for our Kenilworth Walking Women walk!

It was wonderful to welcome so many new members tonight, I hope you all enjoyed your first walk with us.

Our route took us over to the beautiful Stoneleigh Abbey, where we wandered down its stunning ancient tree-lined driveway. Although the skies looked rather dramatic and threatened us with rain, we managed to stay dry throughout! And then nature rewarded us with one of the most spectacular rainbows we’ve ever seen, a truly magical end to the walk.

As always, the evening was rounded off perfectly with a well-earned drink and plenty of chat at the pub.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We can’t wait to do it all again next week!

Walk 130 – 28th July 2026

Another lovely evening with Kenilworth Walking Women!

Tonight we enjoyed a beautiful walk along Chase Lane, across the recently harvested fields, with the stunning Kenilworth Castle as our backdrop. And it was wonderful to welcome so many new members, thank you for joining us!

To finish the evening, many of us enjoyed a refreshing drink at the pub and a good catch-up. Great company, beautiful scenery, and a perfect summer evening.

Walk 129 – 26th July 2026

A big thank you to everyone who joined me on Sunday afternoon for a fabulous walk around Wroxhall Abbey and enjoyed tea and cake afterwards at Wren Hall. It really was a very enjoyable walk.

Walk 128 – 21st July 2026

Another great evening on the Greenway!

Despite the warm and humid weather, we had a brilliant turnout with over 60 walkers joining us this evening. It’s fantastic to see so many women getting out, enjoying each other’s company and enjoying a walk together.

With a group our size, the Greenway can feel a little cosy at times, so a big thank you to everyone for helping us share the path safely. Our trusty whistle and shout-out system worked a treat, giving plenty of warning to our walkers of approaching cyclists and runners. It’s always lovely to see everyone looking out for one another and helping make the walk enjoyable for all.

A very warm welcome to everyone who joined us for the first time tonight. We hope you had a wonderful evening and that this is the first of many walks with us. New faces are always welcome!

We’re looking forward to doing it all again on Sunday at 2.00pm for our Family Walk, starting from Wren Hall. Bring the family, invite a friend, and come along for a relaxed afternoon in good company, followed by tea and cake!

Walk 127 – 14th July 2026

Tonight’s walk was absolutely lovely, across the fields, as the sun was sinking and the temperature was dropping. The castle looked stunning in the evening sun.

This week we started from from the new swimming pool, walked, then headed back to the pool cafe to enjoy the air conditioning, a cold drink and fantastic service. Thanks to the lovely cafe team for looking after us. The cafe is fab- thoroughly recommend it!

Walk 126 – 7th July 2026

A really enjoyable walk this evening, despite the very warm temperature.
We managed to stay in the shade as much as possible but enjoyed The Greenway and Hollis Lane. We’re so lucky to have this beautiful countryside on our doorsteps.

Walk 125 – 30th June 2026

This evening’s walk took us across the beautiful countryside of Kenilworth, in a large figure of 8. While we did feel

a couple of drops of rain and the sky looked moody, we did very much enjoy a dry but warm walk, followed by a refreshing drink afterwards.

Walk 124 – 16th June 2026

There were a few raindrops as we met in the carpark this evening but after that it remained dry and we had a lovely warm walk. There were plenty of conversations and laughter, with a number of ladies heading for a social drink afterwards. See you all next week.

Walk 123 – 9th June 2026

The rain stayed away and we enjoyed a beautiful walk across the fields, admiring the stunning colours of the castle in the evening light.

After missing the walk for a couple of weeks it was lovely to be back amongst such a wonderful, kind and caring group of lovely ladies.

Walk 122 – 2nd June 2026

We were very lucky with the weather this evening. After torrential rain and thunder in the afternoon, the sky cleared and we had a lovely walk across the Common and along the Greenway. The sun came out at around 8pm and a happy group of ladies sat outside the pub to have a drink and a chat before heading home. If anyone wishes to join us on a Tuesday evening, you can be assured of a warm welcome.
