We enjoyed a lovey dry, crisp evening for our walk tonight, cross crossing across Kenilworth before heading to the Virgins pub for a drink. Only another 5 weeks of dark walks left before we’ll be starting our walks in the day light! I’m really looking forward to getting back out along the Greenway and across the fields.

The evening stayed mainly dry and we enjoyed a lovely ramble across Kenilworth with yet another new route.
We even ventured into a different pub afterwards and managed to answer a couple of answers on the pub quiz at Virgin and Castle Pub Kenilworth.

It might have been damp and sleety but that did not deter the amazing ladies who enjoyed our walk this evening. We may have been damp but our spirits were not, as we braved the cold with lots of good humour and chats. See you all next week!

Tonight’s walk was really lovely, the rained had stopped so we enjoyed a clear starry sky, a great route around Kenilworth and some fab ladies to chat to. We welcomed some new members too which is great. All women are welcome to join, just come along as and when suits you.
We meet every week, at Abbey Fields car park for 7pm start.
It was lovely to be out walking again with our intrepid group of walkers, all braving the cold conditions. We were rewarded with a reasonably dryish walk, with only a little drizzle and a comparatively mild 3 degrees centigrade.
Our first walk of 2026 took us across Kenilworth where there was still a sprinkling of festive lights to be seen.

Tonight we celebrated our 100th walk!! Our group has now been waking together for two years, covering approximately 300 miles across Kenilworth’s streets and surrounding countryside.
Before we have a little look back at our 100 walks I’d just like to wish @everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year.

A lovely walk this evening appreciating the pretty Christmas lights on Clinton Lane and, of course, watching the wonderful charity tractor run. Afterwards we shared a drink and some laughs at Greens. We missed Tina and others who are poorly, and hope you all get well soon.
We were lucky with the weather for our walk this evening, as the wind had dropped and it stayed dry and mild. It was great to get out, enjoy some great company and enjoy the Christmas lights across Kenilworth.
Next week is the tractor run, so we’ll do a shorter walk before heading to Warwick Rd to enjoy watching the tractors, and then afterwards enjoy a Christmas drink together at Greens.
It was a chilly walk, with clear, starry skies and an amazingly orange moon, and once we got walking and chatting, we soon warmed up.
Looking forward to our Christmas party next Tuesday and swapping our walking boots for our dancing shoes!!
